October Additions to Records

31/10/2008

In October our Research Team added detail to 37 records on the website. A fantastic achievement from the small team.

This month the additions include the mysterious death of Post Office Clerk Mr Frederick Todd; the death of Mr Walter Sweetman a brewer in Ryde; the death of a prominent Island Estate Agent Mr Maurice Riddett; the wedding of Mr Sydney Hogg and Daisy Blanche Feben; good news that Mr Leslie Duffett, the only son of Mr J G Duffett, had survived the sinking of the sailing ship Inverlyon; the death of Sir Charles Clifford of Westfield Ryde and much more.

For the full list of additions please click on the link below.

If you are able to help with the fascinating aspect of our work and could spend even a short time at the Record Office, please contact Ann Barrett, the leader of our Research Team. You can contact Ann by clicking on the Contact Us button at the top of the page.
