June 2009 Additions to records

Our busy Research Team, led by Ann Barrett, added detail to 56 of the records on the website in June 2009.

Examples of this months additions include: the report of the sad death of a young policeman, Herbert Sydney (Dixie) Dean in 1920; the obituary for George Butler, editor of IW Observer who died in 1865 at the age of 45; death notice and obituary for Mr George Bussey, an industrialist and gun manufacturer from London who died in 1889; the wedding of George Robert Brigstocke in 1909; detail of memorial window installed in Holy Trinity Church by Sophia Milligan in memory of her parents in 1877; detail of Royal Patronage for Mr H Thurlow, jeweller, in 1889; wedding of Frank Farrand to Constance Tutte in 1909; plus much more.
