November 2006 - Exhibition at the George Street Centre Ryde

27/11/2006

Vernon Square in Spring (from Vernon Sq website)
On the evening of 24th November 2006 Roy Brinton (RSHG Hon President) and Tony Gale (RSHG member) gave two illustrated talks at the George Street Centre in Ryde to help raise funds for the Vernon Square Preservation Society.

Roy's talk was about the Brewers of Ryde and Tony's about the Pubs of Ryde. The evening was very well attended and the talks were interesting, entertaining and informative.

The main meeting took place in the upstairs main hall, and RSHG was allowed to put on a display of some of research in the foyer downstairs to attract people's attention as they entered and left the venue.

The evening was a great success and we are grateful to the Vernon Square Preservation Society for allowing us to share their evening with them.
